Listen

frontier001:

So there’s been some talk on my dash about which version of the DS9 theme is the best and… frankly, everyone’s wrong.  Because the best version is neither the early years nor the later years.  It’s a version never heard on the show.  It’s a concert version done by (and I could be wrong on this but I believe) the City of Prague philharmonic for one of those Star Trek compilation knock-off albums.  And it’s the early theme meshed with one of the pilot episode tracks and… yeah.  It’s the best.  So listen and then thank me for adding it’s existence to your life.  :P

I’ve always imagined it as the title theme to the DS9 movie we’ll never get.  :(  I can picture the credits and then as it transitions in the middle, us going through the window to Sisko - nay, Kira’s - office, where we find her holding the baseball and going out into Ops and taking it all in and… I can’t go further without the feels…

I think is from Space & Beyond: http://www.startreksoundtracks.com/misc/space1.html

“From time to time, you will make mistakes. They are inevitable. Sometimes those mistakes will be huge. What matters is that you learn from them. There is nothing wrong with falling down as long as you end up just two inches taller when you pick yourself off the fall. At times you may end up far away from home. You may not be sure of where you belong anymore. Home is always there, because home is not a place. It is wherever your passion takes you.

“As you continue on your path, you will lose some friends and gain some new ones. The process is painful, but often necessary. They will change and you will change, because life is change. From time to time, they must find their own way and that way may not be yours. Enjoy them for what they are and remember them for what they were.

“Oh, there’s not much left. Except, I believe… I really do believe that sooner or later, no matter what happened, things do work out. We have hard times. We suffer. We lose loved ones. The road is never easy. It was never meant to be easy, but in the long run, if you stay true to what you believe, things do work out. Always be willing to fight for what you believe in. It doesn’t matter if thousand people agree with you or one person agrees with you. It doesn’t matter if you stand completely alone. Fight for what you believe.”

Dormí solo culpa de Cristina Kirchner

callategordo:

Me acerqué, estuve simpático y caí bien.

Ninja PenguinMonkeys R Us: Oooh that Garak #4 → peachandlube.tumblr.com

Garak: It’s ironic; when the Klingons attacked the station, Gul Dukat and I were fighting side by side. At one point he turned his back to me and I must admit, for a moment, he made a very tempting target.

Odo: You’d shoot a man in the back?

Garak: It is the safest way, isn’t it? But then…
